It is also a compaion program to the kids programs so you can learn along side your children and have an enriching learning experience together! No previous educational requirements required. It is taught like a social studies class for adults. Explaining the rules and laws of finance as well as giving some excellent ideas on how to grow your assets and what to do with them. Money Mentor Foundation's MISSION is to make financial education accessable to all and for people to see it as "a right not a privilage" to know how to make fair and profitable money decisions for one's self.
Financial Literacy, like childhood, should be a right, not a privilage. For all of the subjects we teach in school, Financial Literacy is something that all teens and young people should be exposed to and should have a firm grasp on by the time they graduate from High School. Started orginally by a women who was rasied by a financially literate single mother, she felt that most of her success being the first one in her extended family to attend and graduate collage. She had to learn to protect herself and teaching was always part of the plan. Finally graduating from UCLA, top of her class, speaking at the Art History Comensement. Eventually she was paired up with a design team who came from undereducated parents, as well. After that, they made it their mission that no one would have to go through what they went through just to learn to live, grow and survive. And Money Mentor ® was born.
